Marketing performance

Judge marketing by the clients and revenue it brings in.

RevenueTie puts ad spend next to what happened afterward (leads, approved estimates and collected revenue) for every channel and campaign, so you can compare sources on outcomes rather than clicks.

A cheap lead isn’t always a good lead.

Ad platforms optimize for what they can see: the click, the form, the call. Two campaigns can report similar cost per lead while one produces clients and the other produces tyre-kickers. Without the downstream numbers, budget decisions rest on the wrong figure.

Because every lead in RevenueTie keeps its source and its outcomes, performance can be measured at the level that matters to the business: who said yes, and what was collected.

What you can measure

Figures come from your synced ad spend, any spend you add by hand, and the estimates, invoices and payments recorded in RevenueTie.

  • Marketing spend

Daily spend synced from Google Ads and Meta Ads, plus manual entries for costs paid elsewhere, rolled up your campaign tree.

  • Leads and cost per lead

How many leads each source produced in a date range, and what each cost.

  • Approved estimates and cost per client

How many clients said yes, the value they approved, and what each new client cost in marketing.

  • Collected revenue

Money recorded as received from those leads, kept separate from amounts that are only quoted or invoiced.

  • Return on spend

Collected revenue divided by spend for the same sources and dates.

  • Stage funnel

How far the leads from a source have progressed through your funnel stages.

Two ways to count, for two different questions

Leads that came in takes the leads that arrived during the dates you choose and follows everything that has happened to them since, which is the right view for judging a campaign’s quality.

What happened in the range counts the estimates, approvals, invoices and payments dated inside the range, whenever the lead first arrived, which suits month-end reporting.

Reports you can keep, discuss and share

Pick one campaign or several, compare with a previous period, and drill into the leads behind any number. Save the result as a snapshot, either kept live with its filters or frozen at the date you took it, and discuss it with comments and mentions.

  • Compare date ranges
  • Drill into the leads behind each figure
  • Live or frozen report snapshots
  • PDF export as a document or presentation

Results depend on how completely leads, estimates, invoices and payments are recorded. RevenueTie reports what your team records; it doesn’t guarantee better marketing results.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the spend data come from?

Google Ads and Meta Ads spend syncs daily from your connected ad accounts. Costs paid elsewhere, such as Local Services Ads invoices, directories or agency fees, can be added by hand, and you choose whether each entry counts in reports.

How is return on spend calculated?

Collected revenue recorded against leads from the chosen sources, divided by the marketing spend for the same sources and date range.

Can I see results by campaign, not just by channel?

Yes. Reports work at any level of your campaign tree (channel, network or campaign), and you can pick several items at once.

Can I hide revenue or spend from some team members?

Yes. Permissions control which roles can see revenue, spend and return figures.
